Japanese Style Binding
Japanese style binding have a very distinctive appearance with its exposed stitching. Japanese style bindings are tactile and don’t necessarily need covers. Handmade paper as the pages or as a cover lends itself very well, or even a cloth hard cover gives a juxtaposition. We offer a range of dyed linen threads.
Placing holes through pages in this fashion does require an extra consideration when designing the pages as the pages do not lay flat. Please give us a call to discuss binding margins.
